11-11-11 ‘09

On the eleventh of November 2009 you are invited to take part in a pyschogeographical epic. You have a window of eleven hours to complete a circuit of  Birmingham’s number eleven bus.
There are rules. But not many:

Get on the 11C at some point after 11am on 11/11.
Get off the 11C exactly one circuit later.

Indeed it is.

Jon Bounds’ Outer Circle Psychogeographical Report

“Where shops appear they don’t seem to be planned, the ‘party shop’ in Stirchley on the Pershore Road seems to whimper “celebration” rather than shout. It’s falling into itself, does it open? When taking photos, it was impossible to take them while the bus [...]

Boost Bars and Notebooks – Tom Lennon’s 11-11-11

Tom Lennon “boarded the 11C on Vicarage Road in King Heath at about 1.25pm and it brought us, by Joyce’s commodious vicus of recirculation, back to Kings Heath and Environs about two-and-a-half hours later.” He took notes, but is quickly and episodically writing them up.
Check out his 11-11-11 here (as ever with blogs, read from [...]
