More from Julia’s 11-11-11

“There was so much to look at, that you could almost pick a different ‘theme’ to document on each circuit, such as architecture, shops, housing, parks/green spaces, roads (signs/markings/road furniture), grafitti/tagging etc etc. I suppose I ended up tweeting a bit of everything. When taking photos, it was impossible to take them while the bus was moving, so I was limited to when the bus was stopped at bus stops/juncions/traffic. I’m actually quite tempted to drive a circuit of the route, so that I could stop and take a photo or make a note of everything that I find interesting, in my own time.”

First pub to have splash pans – Alan Bounds’ 11-11-11

The Old House at Home, is the pub. What splash pans are is open to question. Here’s Alan’s photos on Flickr from 11-11-11.

Boost Bars and Notebooks – Tom Lennon’s 11-11-11

Tom Lennon “boarded the 11C on Vicarage Road in King Heath at about 1.25pm and it brought us, by Joyce’s commodious vicus of recirculation, back to Kings Heath and Environs about two-and-a-half hours later.” He took notes, but is quickly and episodically writing them up.

Check out his 11-11-11 here (as ever with blogs, read from the bottom up…)

Apparently he was with Clare who took photos, we’ll point you to them as soon as we see them.

[UPDATE: Tom's continuing his reports with two more blog posts —

Cotteridge to Bournville & Selly Oak to Harborne ]

When he got on it was a C, it became an E – Simon Gray’s 11-11-11

Simon Gray did a circuit an bit I think, judging by his photos, and his tweets.

Documenting 11-11-11 – The tweets on the bus

A number of 11-11-11er’s used Twitter (huh, what’s twitter?) to document the journey, we’ve got a transcript of those tweets and those of people who were supporting them.

Jon Bounds’ 11-11-11 live blog

Which started off well, but was interrupted by power and 3G data connection issues (and the tendancy to tweet instead) is here.

Live Blog from the Hardcore Michael Grimes

Read the transcript of Michael’s live blog, he did the full 11 hours — without, it seems, going too insane.

11 Seconds with Nick Booth

Nick Booth couldn’t stomach 11 hours on the 11 bus, but he has the fullest recording of any journey – he filmed all of his 11 seconds (even though it goes a bit weird).

And even documented his ticket (which in a nice display of numerology cost £1.1):

Mapping, the wrong way round – DP’s 11-11-11

There’s always one isn’t there? DP took the anticlockwise route (“A for Anarchy”) ” managed to make one complete 80km circuit on the 11A between 12:55 and 15:20. According to [his] GPS unit, that is, which apparently includes the vertical travel as well as the horizontal.”

Photos are being uploaded to this Zoto set, which included him spotting other 11-11-11ers going the other way round:

something I said : Anti-Clockwise on the 11 Photo by DP

He has also done some stunning GPS mapping work, which is further delved into here.

[UPDATE: More mapping.]
