An expedition of our scale needs careful planning. If you’re going to spend eleven hours on a bus, you need to know places to eat, places to get off to go to the toilet, places to charge your gadgets if you’re doing anything like filming or photography. So we need an editable collaboratable map. Luckily here’s one:
Join in and add places of interest or places we can safely take break. Add where you’re starting, with a special bus icon of you like.

Cracking idea.
Good luck with it.
It has reminded me of a woman i once went out with who told me she had drunk in every pub on the No 11 route.
Which Bus are people going to tour on. The time of the bus? Roughly, can’t find the specifics anywhere on the site. Isn’t the eleventh a Tuesday?
People can get on/off/on again any of the 20 11Cs touring round the outer circle. It would be very odd to try and get people on the same one.
Timetables aren’t that rigid on the eleven, get on the first one that comes to your stop after 11am.
And yes, the 11th is a Tuesday.
Do you have the GPS track for the route plotted above?
I drew it directly onto the map, can it be extracted?
I’ve got a GPS tracking think with me to upload later
I’ve just recorded the entire route on GPS and I also waymarked all the bus stops in a clockwise direction. I will now edit these and upload to http://www.openstreemap.org over the next several days as part of the community mapping project to remap the entire globe ( Birmingahm is nearly completed)
Perhaps when we’ve finished mapping Birmingham (only a matter of weeks now) you might like to use our version of the map (http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=52.49&lon=-1.851&zoom=11&layers=B000FTF)
on your website rather than Google. Ours is already more accurate and up-to-date than Google’s – and everyone else’s for that matter(except the OS). But you don’t need to pay us or get copyright clearance – it’s your map and we would like some more users and contributors
I’ve now also got a newly-minted GPS track, which I may upload. I’m thinking of mapping greenspaces and other things. My Garmin eterex is very rough compared to other devices, so I’d be glad to have a gpx file or other format if you’ve got one.
